The Ultimate Guide for Starting Your Oral Hygiene Routine

Wanting a new bright white smile? Our ultimate guide is here for you to achieve this. There is no better time to start improving your confidence than now!

With a brighter, cleaner looking smile, you can instantly feel more confident in yourself. Here at NANO, we have created this easy step by step guide to get you started.

Step 1: Morning Routine

When you sleep, bacteria builds up around your teeth and gums. It's always good when you start your oral care by flossing your teeth to discard any built-up bacteria.

Once flossed, follow by rinsing your mouth with mouthwash, and then brush your teeth with either a manual or electric toothbrush in the morning to get rid of any bad breath and wash away any bacteria left after flossing.

We always recommend the Floss - Wash - Brush routine as it is the most effective daily oral hygiene routine.

Step 2: Keeping your teeth clean throughout the day

It's an easy mistake to forget about keeping your teeth clean and fresh during the day but with these top tips, it will be hard to forget.

  • Drink More Water - Water continues to be the best beverage for your overall health. Water can help wash out some of the negative effects of sticky and acidic foods and beverages in between brushes.
  • Floss - It’s a way to stimulate the gums, reduce plaque, and help lower inflammation in the area.
  • Limit Sugary and Acidic Foods - Acidic fruits, teas, and coffee can also wear down tooth enamel. While you don’t necessarily have to avoid such foods altogether, it doesn’t hurt to be mindful.
  • Using Mouthwash - Mouthwash reduces the amount of acid in the mouth, cleans hard-to-brush areas in and around the gums, and remineralises the teeth.

Step 3: Night Routine

Last but not least, ALWAYS remember to clean your teeth before sleeping.

After you finish your evening meal, it's so important to continue your oral hygiene routine and use our Floss - Wash - Brush routine to remove any bacteria created during the day.

Before you go to bed rinse your mouth with water to remove any excess particles, no one likes to go to bed with missed food particles in their mouth!

Just by following these steps - you are on the right track to achieving your new Bright, White Smile...

Enjoy your new Teeth Whitening Routine and don't forget to tag us in your new smile selfies. NANO x

A bright smile starts with good habits, and the same goes for what we eat. Understanding the glycaemic index has helped me make smarter food choices that support both health and confidence.
